Customer Training Information for Greater China Region - Hong Kong

Courses:

Basic Galileo Training (3 days)

Objective:

The objective of the course is to provide users with basic information about booking creation with Galileo. The attendees are expected to possess basic travel related knowledge or experience in using other GDS.

 Outline:

In addition to the basic booking fields (PRINT), the course will also cover other areas in the daily operation of a travel consultant, such as Timetable function, minimum connecting time, Mileage Membership, SSR, OSI, queue handling, split of booking file, resell function, TIMATIC, and Electronic Travel Authority System. During the class, we will share the experience obtained from Customer Support Department and show some case studies as well to enforce the knowledge of the attendees.

Expected Result:

Upon completion of the training, the attendees will be able to create booking files through Galileo and the correct practice in using GDS.

Fare & Ticketing Training (2 days)

Objective:

The objective of the course is to enable the users to obtain fare related information through Galileo and the steps for ticket issuance. Apart from ticketing agents, we also welcome non-ticketing agents to attend the fares session. The attendees are expected to possess skills in creation of basic booking files and basic fare concepts.

Outline:

The course will include the entries and logics about Fare Display, Fare Quote Planner, and Fare Quote. The course will also include the setup of the TINS table prior to ticket issuance, steps for ticket issuance, various methods to create filed fares, and the steps to restore a ticketed filed fare. The course will also include practice on ticket exchange and information about electronic ticketing. Automated MCO will be included in the class upon the official implementation.

Expected Result:

Upon completion of the course, the attendees will be able to obtain the fares from Galileo with Fare Display, Fare Quote Planner and Fare Quote. The attendees will also be able to issue both normal fare tickets and market net fare tickets.

Hotel & Car Training (1 day)

Objective:

The objective of the training is to provide attendees with the procedures for creating hotel and car reservations through Galileo. The attendees are expected to have basic booking creation skills.

Outline:

The course will include the introduction of various links to the vendors, and the appropriate steps to create hotel and car reservations.

Expected Result:

Upon completion of the training, the attendees will be able to create hotel and car reservations through Galileo appropriately. The users will also know how to send messages to vendors through vendor remarks.
